"My domestic environment has always been my muse. The objects that sit around my home and in my garden studio, arranged or not, then painted with affection. I feel that this body of work is where I have found an authentic voice, an economy of mark, confident to say less, painting intuitively, abstract in moments, exercising restraint."
After completing A Bachelor of Fine Art at RMIT, majoring in Gold and Silversmithing, Stacey McCall worked as a bespoke jeweller for 15 years but eventually turned back to her true passion… painting. She now works full time from her garden studio in the inner Melbourne suburb of Kensington.
