Julia Trybala draws, paints, prints and makes works in Melbourne. Julia has been exhibiting in group exhibitions throughout Melbourne for the past two years. ‘Beginners’ will be her first solo show at Boom Gallery. Julia’s work strives to engage the viewer through her bold use of colour combinations combined with strong portrait work.

‘Beginners’ is an exploration of close relationships, distance and solidarity. Trybala creates moody scenes throughout her work with a particular interest in how to convey deep emotions through flat surfaces and line work.

For this exhibition Julia has made a limited edition Zine, ‘Blue Truths”, featuring some of her recent illustrations.
