ART/house
ART/house is a curated exhibition of original artwork, furniture design, textiles, lighting and object into a cohesive whole - forming large sculptural forms. One of our major exhibitions of 2025, it celebrates the idea of art and design, confronting, harmonising, agitating and contrasting against and alongside each other. It will call into question the blurry line that distinguishes art from design. Our hope is that ART/house elevates the practice of design above the basic need of functionality.
ART/house draws together artists, designers and makers from across Australia. For many of these creatives this group exhibition will be the first time they have shown with us, and we are excited to bring this dynamic show to our region.
Boom Gallery is committed to reinforcing Geelong’s designation as an UNESCO City of Design. We will explore every opportunity to foster, grow and promote good design and provide a platform whereby artists, designers and makers can meet, be encouraged and build their audience.
ART/house will feature Rhys Cousins, Jeff Raglus, Karima Baadilla, Liam Ross Baker, Pheobe Stone, Kasper Raglus, Isobel Rayson, Rachel Hine, Ben Crawford, KAZLAND, Peta Armstrong, Grace Rokesky, Yoko Georgio, Sarah Kelk, Carla McRae, Michael McCafferty, Emma Lipscombe, Rachael Gartland, Thomas Maxam, Ka Ra Studio, Thomas Lentini, Softer Studio, Two Lines & Ross Thompson.
