Past Exhibition: Beth Gibbeson, Painting My Heart Out
Colour has been my light this past year. Restricted in the heavy lockdowns to move around freely to visit the landscape I often paint, I focused on my memories of these landscapes as well as my life experiences of places, stories, moments and treasures. Shapes, colours, an inner light of these memories began to reemerge and re arrange themselves to include each other. Balance and harmony became fundamental to my work, as in my chaos, I craved straight lines, bolder colours, and warmth. I loved every moment of painting my heart out.
