"The work I make is grounded in the beauty and meaning that can be found in the everyday, in the mundane and the utilitarian, and in the unremarkable corners of home. It is an exploration of household objects and familiar surrounds, and of the humour, weight and significance of ordinary things.
The work is also an ongoing experimentation with colour, texture, layering and line, and with the interplay of representation and abstraction, observation and imagination."
