"This body of work comes out of changing times. The work has provided a sweet space to dip into. To be in the peace of painting and mark making has been refuge and salve. Sadly, the time has come to leave beloved Anakie and this work is a homage and container of this special place.

The word 'suspended' came as the fitting title as it holds many meanings simultaneously: I have felt suspended in this landscape, dispersed through it. It has held me up in body and mind and leaving this place prevents me from continuing and holding my usual post. In music, suspended is a prolonged note or chord into a following chord, usually to produce a temporary discord."
