Hobart Hills represents an honest expression of simple, handmade and durable ceramics. Inspired by the colours and forms of the native landscape, the idea is simple – carefully considered practical and functional everyday pieces, that will have you reaching for them everyday.

All work is made by slip casting. That is, each piece is crafted by pouring liquid clay into handmade plaster moulds which have been created in the studio. Each step in the process is done by hand, and as such each item will be slightly different and vary slightly from the original including some imperfections. This maker’s touch and the uniqueness it brings to the work should be embraced and enjoyed
