Tara Shackell
Tara Shackell works in clay to produce quiet, considered objects for everyday use and contemplation. Her pots are thrown on the wheel, with a focus on simplicity and materiality.
Tara studied a Bachelor of Fine Art at the Victorian College of the Arts and later completed Diploma of Art (Ceramics).
Her current work focuses on creating simple objects that express tranquillity, quietness and space. These pieces explore the relationship between form and surface through the subtle interaction between clay and glazes.
