ARTIST STATEMENT
"Beyond their role as companions, dogs have long served as metaphors for the human condition. In the complexities of animal instinct and intellect, we see parallels to our own vulnerabilities and aches for connection and purpose.
These two drawings can be read, side by side / before and after, like a comic - the anticipation of loneliness followed by yearning in absence. A dog holds a potent mirror to our own human joys, fears and struggles - modern life leaves much to howl about."
