ARTIST STATEMENT
"Our place on the river is not accessible in low tide, so we watch the ever-changing light as the tides ebb and glow; the oyster beds appearing and disappearing; the moon and sun changing our perceptions; our connections to this ancient land. Middens and rock engravings enhance ancient human connections to this place. It answers a sense of longing, our joy, awe and discomfort of the very nature we are part of. That push/pull of connection and understanding of what our place is in this world."
