ARTIST STATEMENT
"This series reference a trip I made to Alice springs and the East MacDonnell Ranges in 2024 just before I started the Masters program at RMIT. The colours I have used reference the intense colours of the landscape up there rather than an accurate colour depiction.
BIO
Currently completing a Master of Fine Art at RMIT University and entering her second year, Colleen divides her time between living on Gunditjmara Country / Port Fairy, on the south-west coast of Victoria and Melbourne, spending half of her week in each place. This dual existence informs her practice and charges her art with contrasting experiences she can draw on.
