These are part of a larger series of landscapes based on the illustrations from a found Western comic book. By removing both the characters and text; what was once a backdrop is now the focus of the images.

In their new form these landscapes appear somewhat like empty film sets stuck in a limbo between action and inaction. What ensues is a paradoxically calming and yet uneasy mood, as the landscape waits for an event or someone to enter the frame, a moment that will never come.
