    Lemons From Vivi’s Tree

    By Michelle Kettle

"These paintings are of citrus fruits from my garden. When I was pregnant with my first daughter, my gardener friend planted a lemon, lime, and orange tree in my garden to mark the occasion. The lemon tree was a huge success and has fruited every year. The oranges you see here are the first fruit in 4 years, and unfortunately the lime tree has yet to bear any fruit for us (I still hold out hope). These paintings are a celebration of those trees and their delicious fruit. They are the proud result of 4 years of tending to; pruning, feeding, watering, and sometimes neglecting them!"
