ARTIST STATEMENT
"Ideas for my art are often drawn from the central and western districts of Victoria. The painting 'Swampy Salty' is a fictional landscape based on a memory of place, a landscape I have observed and recalled over a life time. This work is a generalised impression reflecting sporadic and naturally occurring salinity in lakes, swamps [wetlands] and farmed paddocks in the Victorian volcanic plain."
