"This body of work titled 'A Fortress and A Field' for 'Form and Feeling' explores the thematic of solitude.
A horizon line is drawn where it evokes distance, space and the metaphorical beyond. A fortress sits and stands resolute within the field. Sometimes the fortress blends with the field and other times the fortress stands in contrast. Solitude is explored through colour, form, texture and composition of each painting."
