ARTIST STATEMENT
"I made 'The Shadow' as a talisman to assist in revealing pointy human characteristics to the self. It has removable pieces to carry around when battling stubborn traits or the outside swarm: a hat to keep a lid on unwanted inner looping and an earpiece to ward off negative or voluminous exterior forces."

Peta Armstrong makes high fired stoneware ceramics from her studio on Wadawurrung land in the Surfcoast Shire of Victoria, Australia. She is equally enamoured with making both functional and sculptural objects.
