"Untitled (Interior/Bouquet) is about notions of hierarchy in imagery; and the way our perceptions of genre, such as the idea of still life, is informed by the visual culture we consume. The painting is made up of a reimagined cartoon interior and a section from a famous still life painting. Through combining these two seemingly disparate images I question the distinction made between 'popular culture' and 'fine art', and highlight the varied influences we experience in an increasingly digital world."
