Ileigh Hellier
ARTIST STATEMENT
Ileigh’s work explores the tension between the natural world around her and her inner world of dreams. Suns, moons, trees and clouds all feature as motifs in her work amidst abstracted landscapes. She captures liminal times of day with gradient skies. Having always lived near the ocean, headlands and horizons are prominent features in her work too. Ileigh’s work dances between being representational and abstract and quite often both.
