'At Home', Group Exhibition
At Home is an exhibition that groups together six artists from diverse cultural backgrounds. All of them found a new home here in Australia. Some arrived here as migrants and others as refugees. Some arrived here as children and others were born here in Australia. Each of the artists has a life story that is interesting, unique and meaningful. Their stories are like millions of others that have made Australia home. What an incredible country we all live in and share together.
At Home coincides with Cultura’s Pako Festa. Established in 1983, this spectacular event is Victoria’s largest free multicultural street festival and continues to celebrate Geelong’s diversity through the magic of food, dance and music along Pakington Street, Geelong West. Running on Saturday, February 22, Pakington Street is lined with authentic food from around the globe and an incredible street parade kicks off at 11am. The festival also includes over 40 acts across five outdoor stages.
We are proud to open At Home during Pako Festa and invite you to come along and share in what is shaping up to be an incredible day.
At Home will feature original artwork by Hop Dac, Anita Iacovella, John Gatip, Jeremy Vander Noord, Jiri Tibor Novak & Raja Norzlipah.
